We are in the middle of a global pandemic, which is intersecting with white supremacy, which is also a global pandemic. Premature Black death has been on full display all summer long. People are taking to the streets, and making bold demands. To adequately meet this moment of transformative change and possibility, we all must engage with political education and cultivate an antiracist practice. In this two-part three-hour antiracist series, we will gather together to be transformed and to deepen and enhance our antiracist ethic and practice. This work will be done through a Black feminist lens.
This session will cover the fundamentals of racism, introduce you to an antiracist framework, invite you to interrogate your relationship with white supremacy. If you are interested in learning how to disrupt, dismantle, and divest from white supremacy, please join me. Both sessions will have pre-readings.
You can learn more about me by visiting my website lutzesegu.com or following me on Instagram @socialjusticedoula where I engage in public feminist discourse and consciousness- raising.
