Worship: Disability Justice (In-Person & YouTube)

UUs have a rich history of advocating for those often overlooked in our society. Activist Dorothea Dix, for instance, was instrumental in bringing forth more humane treatment of individuals with psychological and cognitive disabilities. Our UU values call us to strive towards accessibility and equity for all, but how might our discourse still be shaped by ableism? What do we still have to learn from Critical Dis/ability Studies about removing barriers to belonging in our community?
