In honor of Earth Day and our Seventh Principle—respect for the interdependent web of all existence—UU Miami is hosting a Community Clothing Swap for members and friends! The fashion industry is one of the world’s largest polluters, but we can make a difference right here in our own closets. Instead of buying new, let’s share the abundance within our community.
How to Participate:
Clean Out Your Closet: Gather gently used, clean clothing, shoes, and accessories that deserve a second home. Bring items for kids, women and/or men.
Drop off and Shop for Free: Join us after the service on April 19 in the Emerson Room and the Sanctuary to browse and take home “new-to-you” treasures! No donation is required to shop—this is a gift to our community and the planet. Anything remaining at the end of the day will be donated to a local charity.
Volunteers are needed, please email communications@uumiami.org if you would like to help and participate.
Let’s celebrate Earth Day by reducing waste, saving money, and looking great together!
