SAFE SCHOOLS – SAFE SPACE
In partnership with Safe Schools South Florida, UU Miami is hosting the Newest Safe Space for LGBTQIA+ Youth in Miami. This a group of LGBTQIA+ youth ages 12 to 19.
Our group meets on the Third Tuesday of every month from 5:30-7:30 pm. We provide light snacks and refreshments and light “curriculum”. This is a “safe space” to share stories, find support, and make new friends. We discuss planning a monthly “outing”, where we will go as a group to do an activity such as a movie, a day at the park, etc.
LGBTQ+ Volunteers and allies are needed and welcomed.
