Every transformation begins with hunger. Before there are wings, there is appetite. The caterpillar eats constantly. It grows rapidly. It sheds its skin again and again. From the outside it may look excessive, even chaotic. But it is simply doing what it must to prepare for what comes next.
In our own lives, there have been seasons like this. Seasons of striving. Seasons of building identity. Seasons of survival. We learned how to belong. We learned how to succeed. We learned how to protect ourselves.
This week we begin not with criticism of who we have been, but with gratitude. What parts of you were necessary once? What hunger shaped your becoming? Where do you feel a new restlessness emerging now? Perhaps that restlessness is not dissatisfaction. Perhaps it is growth asking for trust.
