We begin on May 3 with Big Bang: A Universe Learning to Feel, entering the vastness before there was language, before there were witnesses, before anyone could stand beneath the stars and wonder. This first Sunday invites us into awe, into the mystery of a universe that expands, gathers, burns, cools, collapses, forms again, and somewhere within that immense movement becomes capable of sensation, memory, care, and consciousness. We will reflect on the birth of the universe and the possibility that experience itself may be woven more deeply into reality than we often imagine. Panpsychism gives us one doorway into that question, inviting us to wonder whether awareness appeared suddenly from nowhere, or whether the roots of experience were present as a possibility from the beginning, becoming more vivid as matter became more complex. The morning begins with the cosmos because every later question about life, family, humanity, technology, and community belongs to this larger story. We are made of the universe, and we are also responsible within it.
