    Workshop: Call to Prison Abolition: Indigenous Justice, 5:00 pm-6:30 pm EDT

“Doing justice” often means punishing “law-breakers” and sending them to prison – even though prisons neither deter crime nor rehabilitate prisoners. The prison system perpetuates racism, social injustice, and disenfranchisement of protectors of the earth. Original peoples traditionally promote restorative justice, beginning again in relationship and making the community whole.
