Searching for Freedom in the Past: Messages from our Ancestors
Ryan Pontier
Ryan draws on his great uncle’s words as a UU minister by highlighting passages from two sermons in particular: “Some Freedoms Are Not Negotiable” and “Living in Community.” Though one might think the sermons are outdated, each was intended to address issues of the moment and still relevant amidst today’s sociopolitical chaos. Ryan invites listeners to find freedom in our ancestor’s messages.
