Worship – Service – Flower Communion [100th Anniversary]
The first Flower Communion/Ceremony in Prague was June 4, 1923. June 4th, 2023 will mark its 100th anniversary. The Unitarian Universalist Flower Communion service was originated by Dr. Norbert Capek, founder of the Unitarian movement in Czechoslovakia. It was introduced to the United States by Rev. Maya Capek, Norbert’s wife. This uniquely Unitarian Universalist service is our time to affirm the diversity and beauty of this congregation. Andie Arthur will lead this Special Service
Join us as we celebrate the 100th Anniversary of the Flower Communion. Please bring a flower(s) to the service.
