Charting The Course With Transformative Actions & Nourishing Relationships Through Interdependent Commitments
Jane Thayer
Let’s gather at UU Miami for the third of four UU Climate Justice Revival Dialogs where we will revive our commitment to climate justice.
Last Sunday we built our capacity for community care after making connections on the challenging realities of our time and experience as citizens in South Florida and Miami.
On this Sunday, we build upon the last two weeks of Dialogs and shift to Charting the Course with Transformative Actions. Asking questions like “what does my community need?” and “what brings me joy?” we’ll move the conversations from ideas to opportunities for action that our congregation can take. Participants will begin creating individual Sacred Circles as part of this activity.
Finally, we move towards Nourishing Relationships Through Interdependent Commitments. How do we support each other with concrete commitments that move us collectively towards our North Star? We’ll finish the dialogs by connecting to each other to move from extractive or transactional interactions to generative and nourishing relationships. There will be time for silent reflection and strengthening commitments to ourselves as well!

About The UU Climate Justice Revival Dialogs
Together, in these active and engaging sessions taking place Sunday mornings from July 27 to August 17, we will explore frameworks at the intersection of climate and justice, allowing us to weave together the threads that link our deepest commitments. The UU Climate Revival empowers UU congregations to embrace a new era of climate action, one that intentionally and faithfully breaks down silos and cultivate relationships that transform our communities through climate justice.
